ANCHORED

Deep Roots for a Distracted Generation

In a noisy, distracted world, NEXT Sacramento will equip leaders to clear out the noise of a chatbot engaged society, cultivate authentic rhythms of prayer, and dream about how courageous calling, biblical justice, and sustainable soul care can impact the faith of the next generation.

SPEAKERS

Keynote Speaker

Erik Williams was born in Munich, Germany, on a military base, so he moved around quite a bit growing up. His mother was born and raised in Norway, and their family lived there for a few years during his childhood. He speaks Norwegian fluently (as well as enough German to get by) and holds dual citizenship.

Erik invited Jesus into his life when he was 8, but fully surrendered his life to Him the summer before 9th grade at Delta Lake Camp in Rome, NY. That’s where he told the Lord he was all in and would go wherever he was called and do whatever God wanted him to do. This commitment led to working at that camp and then becoming a youth pastor right after he graduated from Houghton College (now Houghton University) in 1993.

He has served in Georgia, Oregon, and Southern California and has had the privilege of speaking all over the world at camps, conferences, retreats, and spiritual emphasis weeks at schools.

Erik has been married since 1994, and he and his wife have four amazing children: one is a worship director, one is a youth pastor, and two are still at home.

He loves being a husband and a dad. He loves getting to be creative, and he enjoys speaking, coaching, leading worship, emceeing conferences, acting, technology, and long walks on the beach!
